Nigeria and the United States have reaffirmed plans to strengthen military cooperation, with counter-terrorism operations and intelligence sharing among the key areas of focus.
Minister of Defence, retired General Christopher Musa, made the commitment on Wednesday in Abuja while receiving Major General Matthew Brown, Commander of the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF).
A statement by the minister’s Special Assistant on Media, Leah Katung-Babatunde, said the visit was aimed at reviewing ongoing joint security initiatives and developing a result-oriented framework for future defence cooperation.
