Nigeria’s Flamingos have won the 2026 WAFU-B U-17 Girls Cup after defeating Togo 4-0 in the final in Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire.
Captain Chidera Harmony scored twice from the penalty spot as Nigeria established a two-goal lead before half-time.
Harmony opened the scoring in the 15th minute and converted another penalty 20 minutes later to give the Flamingos a 2-0 advantage at the break.
Oluebube Umejiaku added a third goal in the 67th minute before Oluwakemi Adegbuyi completed the scoring in the 90th minute.
The victory completed an unbeaten tournament for Nigeria, with the Flamingos recording five wins from five matches.
The title comes as coach Hakeem Busari and his players continue preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco next month.
The Flamingos, bronze medallists at the 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, will now shift their focus to the global tournament.
